ummm, yeah. I thought its about time I update this.

so my aliens among us things went up some time in august, it's something I've been meaning to do for the longest time, and I finally found myself with time to spare, so I did it.

I got a new camera as I mentioned last time, digital rebel XT, all my savings from march till when I bought it, worth every penny. Now savings are for post secondary only, my last splurg before I have to take some more responsibility, luckily I already had cf cards to use. I've been taking so many pictures in the last month with it, somewhere in the thousands. Out of all those I have some I would like to post, but they all need minor retouching. Some of pets, some of nature and scenery, maybe some others, and yes, some skateboarding.

The one day I waited all summer for was the skate comp my friends were holding, I wanted to take pictures all evening at the comp, but I gained the responsibility of setting up the sound for the band, which was alot more than I can remember from our comps over the last two years, and ended up taking all evening except the finals for the 18+ age group, but by this time we had problems with the projector, so I never got to shoot the comp. My good friend Richard has been jealous of my camera since I got it and I let him take pictures during the comp, some of which are very amazing, but they are his pictures not mine, so I obviously don't have the rights. The skateshop that helped us get this all together decided to hold a best trick comp after dark and they set up a few really powerful floodlights to light it, so I was able to shoot that, which really made my day.

This reminds me, Richard and Adam asked me to shoot the cover for their new skate video, it's not supposed to be done till late november if I remember right. Its titled "Another Day at the Office" It should be awesome, last year's video was really good, and they've only been improving.

Yup so school starts tuesday, first day starts at 10 cause of gr. 9 orientation, but I plan to be there for nine so I can claim one of the new G5s in the lab as mine for the semester in graphics. ~Alecsaiyan made me an awesome Five Iron patch based on their trumpet logo and an old school super mario patch which I am sewing on my bag this afternoon. ~shourai is switching to my school this year, I've only seen her once since june 2004. School also means access to the darkroom to finish the prints of old montreal that I really have been wanting to do since may, I really cant wait, I LOVE some of those pictures. yes, can't wait.

My grandparent's 50th aniversary was august 6th, so we threw them a big surprise party and invited a lot of people. Originally one of my great aunts was planning a family reunion that very same day, out in quebec, but when she recieved the invite, she changed it, but that could have gone bad because my grandparents wouldn't have missed the reunion for anything, assuming they didn't know about their surprise. I was really nice because alot of family came from quebec and alot from brampford.

What have I been doing with the rest of my summer? working, usually 6 days a week, cause theres only 3 employees, and my boss wont put one of them on weekends, so it makes the other two work more, but as of tuesday we have weekday daytime staff, so I'll probably only work a 4 hour shift 4 times a week, lots of time for school and fun. the way everyone else's schedules work out, it means I most likely wont work friday evenings, which I'm so glad for.

Oh one other thing I've been doing is redesigning the website for my church's youth ministry, right now it's just a crummy splash page till we get a real one up. ~Carlyrq, henderson and I have been working on it since the beginning of august, but because of our conflicting schedules, we really weren't able to meet much and really discuss stuff, but quite a bit got done, then ~Danied comes home from her summer working at a camp and has an idea, a great idea at that, but because of the layout we made before , we are starting from scratch, and now with less chances to meet, yay! Oh well it will get done asap.

On my bike home from work today it started to rain, and I really didn't feel like being soaked by the time I got home so I stopped by my friend pascal's house, because apparently he's upset because I haven't seen him all summer, so I spent the next six hours playing ratchet and clank: up your arsenal online with him and geoff. pascal's sister has issues, she was trying to flirt with me the whole time, and she's twelve, I'm seventeen, can anyone say awkward. I was really disturbed by this, I didn't say anything because there were other's there, but I know they saw it too, but still, jeez, creepy.
